I've put a couple portraits up here. They're totally random because I haven't really shot any pencil or painted portaits of friends or family. I've done so many I just never thought of it...

I'm working on a few right now so I'll put up pics as they're completed. If you want to get a sense of my portrait work, look at the murals or commissions pages. These are some random smaller portraits I've done.

How to get me your PHOTOS/IMAGES

FIND THE ORIGINAL AND EMAIL IT TO ME - TIME'S GETTIN SHORT

Find a picture of whomever you want the portrait of. Find a photograph of their face or a hi-res digital image. If there's one that strikes you, or the person looks great, done. Some help:

The subject for my portrait should be the subject of the photo (hopefully 4 X 6, but I can work with 3 X 5). Their face should come close to filling the photograph. A photo with our subject in the middle of a group of 10 people will result in an image of that person that is smaller than a dime. So the bigger the person's face, the better I can see them, and thus reproduce them.

If you have a digital image that is OK as well, plus you can email it to me, but the same idea still applies. Look for a hi-res image. This will either be an image that has an image size of, hopefully, 300 ppi. If it has a size of 72 ppi it still may be hi-res if its actual dimensions are huge. Some cameras take all their images at 72 ppi, but when you open them up on the computer the ruler shows you that the dimensions of this image are 25" wide by 17" high (or similar). Therefore when you shrink that down to a normal size (4" X 6") the image has lots of sharp detail.

If none of these requests seem to be possible, I'll just need to see what you got and don't worry, I can probably handle it. I've worked in pencil in the 12" X 9" range and put about 4 kids in there and it can turn out very well.
